Cattailz.org is a 501 (c) (3) non profit organization for feral cats. We support a TNR program for feral cats in the Tarrant & Parker County area. Controlling the stray cat population in both rural & urban communities can aid a community in many ways. First of all shelter over crowding, homeless unwanted cats, and euthanasia. We as a society can spay it forward one cat at a time & improve the lives of these helpless, homeless kitties........
Cattailz also shares this TNR program with the public for a $35 donation. This would include spay/neuter, rabies, and an ear snip (universal symbol for a feral). Please see our veterinarian page for participating vets. We also list low cost spay/neuter options in the area, for your pets.
The Simple Reality......
A feral cat lives between 2-4 years.
A female feral can breed at 9-12 months of age.
She can have as many as 3 litters per year.
An average litter ranges between 4-6 kittens.
A female feral that lives 4 years can have as many
as 9 litters of 6 kittens. That is 54 kittens!!!
The stats are amazing......Together let's stop this cycle,
and control our pets and homeless strays.
We can improve their quality of life in both
rural and urban kitties Together let's spay it forward
and reduce the number of homeless and euthanized kitties....
And offer them a better safe, and happy life.
